At Flor Y Siendo Therapy and Wellness, we offer a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapeutic approach. By growing into a group practice, we aim to mentor and uplift therapists seeking to utilize a trauma-informed lens and offer accessible and culturally affirming mental health services to our clients.

 

We seek a fully licensed therapist to provide mental health therapy services to clients as a W-2 employee of Flor Y Siendo Individual and Family Therapy, Professional Corporation. The ideal therapist would not only be in alignment with our approach but also brings their unique skills, training and specialization to the practice.

The POsition

  • Provide specialized, accessible, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed psychotherapy services to Flor Y Siendo clients

  • Adhere to all laws, regulations, and code of ethics related to providing mental health services 

  • Work independently, complete documentation (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans), and collect payment for all services provided in a timely manner

  • Maintain a minimum caseload of 5 client sessions per week, capacity for growth to 15 client sessions per week

  • Meet with Director on a bi-weekly basis for consultation and support

  • Participate in outreach, marketing, and business-related activities to further engage with and support our community

  • Be consistent and reliable in service delivery and communication with clients, colleagues, and contacts outside of Flor Y Siendo

  • Strive to consistently deepen growth and capacity to provide counseling that is meaningful and impactful

  • Maintain the care of the space when in the office

  • Ask for help when needed

Skills, Knowledge & Attributes

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work

  • Fully licensed with an active, unrestricted license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) in the State of California

  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred

  • Trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, TF-CBT, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, preferred

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness to provide services as an in-network provider on at least one Flor Y Siendo insurance panel, desirable

  • Able to effectively use EHR software, Microsoft Office, and other software programs

  • Ability to provide telehealth sessions and in-person sessions from the office.

  • Developed area of specialization (EX: Trauma, LBGTQ+, Grief & Loss, Body Image, Maternal Mental Health)
