Who I Am

I am a Latinx bilingual Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with Flor Y Siendo. I am passionate about creating educational opportunities, creating space for healing, and empowering individuals through their therapy journey.  A little about me when I am not in the office: I love to watch sporting events and attending concerts.  I also really enjoy spending time outdoors, especially being at the beach!  I also love to try new things like going on adventures and foods.  My goal is to travel and learn about the world.  I identify as first generation, as both my parents immigrated from Mexico.

Who I work with

I have experience with working with individuals in all ranges in the human life.  I have worked with children, teens, young adults, adults, and couples who have been affected by depression, anxiety, life changes, and generational trauma.  I really enjoy working with individuals to create a safe environment, feel heard and seen.  In our therapy work, we will establish goals in reaching a safe environment, feeling heard and seen by using tools attained in session.  In addition, by learning how to apply such tools into everyday life.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, holistic, and culturally humble.  My work is rooted around client-center therapeutic work.  We explore a deeper connection between mind, body and soul and daily influences.  In out therapeutic work, we use mind and body exercises like deep-breathing, relaxation techniques and meditation as a way to release anger and anxiety that can prevent us from our daily lives.
