Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a deep, brain-based therapy that works by identifying, processing and releasing core sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation as well as a variety of other difficult symptoms.  Through the use of relevant eye positions and bilateral sound, we locate the area of the brain where emotional pain and trauma is stored. It is a tool that is used to locate, focus, process, and release experiences and symptoms that are typically out of reach of the conscious mind and its cognitive and language capacity. Brainspotting works with the deep brain and the body through its direct access to the autonomic and limbic systems within the body’s central nervous system. Along with a good therapeutic relationship, it helps the trauma to be released from the brain and body, which allows the client to able to connect with who they truly are are so they can reach their own greatest potential.
